Before you submit an application…
The following terms are assumed to be known if you are going to submit an application:
- personal data according to the GDPR (not just name and address!). See e.g. this video (<3 min)
- special categories of personal data: you are not allowed to process these just like that!
- the difference between anonymous, anonymized and pseudonymized according to the GDPR
- the GDPR legal bases ‘public interest’ and ‘consent’; see also the intranet and Legal basis selection flowchart
- recordings are never or very difficult to anonymize and you should consider whether you want to destroy them after transcription.
Gaining knowledge about this (see the links) takes less time than submitting a revision.
Also, it saves quite a bit of work for the FEtC-H, so we can shorten the review process for everyone.
And further:
– Always use the correct and most recent sample documents/templates.
– Before submitting, check:
o the UU web page of the FEtC-H for news and the agenda;
o the FEtC-H regulations (look up what applies to your research) .
