Faculty Ethics Assessment Committee – Humanities

Are you a Student?

There is a student checklist available for students conducting research involving human participants (see ‘Human-subject related research’ at the bottom of that page). Discuss this checklist with your supervisor.

You may use the sample documents for students to ensure that participants are properly informed and that consent is obtained appropriately, or that objections can be raised where applicable.

Only in exceptional cases, and following consultation between your supervisor and the FETC-GW, can an assessment be carried out. If your research must be assessed by the FETC-GW, you should not use the sample documents for students. Instead, you may only use the documents available on the intranet. Your supervisor can provide these documents.

Information for lecturers supervising students is available on the intranet.
